COVID-19 Update: March 13, 2020

The safety and wellbeing of our guests is a top priority at Hotel Teatro.

We understand that you may be experiencing stress given the rapidly changing information on travel restrictions and cancelled or postponed public events. We want you to know that we are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely, keeping those who are affected in our hearts, and are listening carefully to the questions and concerns we receive from guests such as yourself. If you are an upcoming guest with us or just a visitor to our properties, we hope you find confidence in knowing that we are going above and beyond to take all precautions to keep our premises safe and clean.

We would like to share actions Hotel Teatro is taking to allow for more flexibility regarding your upcoming travel. 

Waiving Change and Cancellation Fees

Guided by our purpose of care, we are temporarily adjusting our policies to allow for maximum flexibility to help you make the right decisions regarding travel at this time:

Existing reservations for upcoming travel between March 14 and May 31st, 2020:

All existing reservations not booked through a 3rd party online travel agency made before March 13, 2020 that are for arrivals between March 14 and May 31, 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival. This includes Advance Purchase Rate reservations.

Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third parties are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for assistance.

The below precautionary and response measures are helping us continue to provide a safe and clean environment:

Comprehensive COVID-19 guidance is in place at Hotel Teatro, detailing how to protect against transmission of the virus and procedures in case there is a suspected or confirmed case among our guests or colleagues.  We continue to follow our stringent guidelines already in place in regards to  proper handwashing hygiene, frequent cleaning of high-touch areas with designated chemicals specifically designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses,  sanitization of guest room keys, and increased hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. 

We believe in responsible and safe travel while staying vigilant and following the recommended procedures and protocols by the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local authorities.

Hotel Teatro continues to welcome business and leisure travelers with our established operational excellence and commitment to care.

Is there a destination amenity fee like many other hotels in Denver?
Yes, Hotel Teatro has a Destination Amenity Fee for the amount of $23 plus tax ($26.62 in total) that is charged daily. Please click here to view what is included.

UPDATE: Due to our restaurant changes in response to the recent COVID-19 update in Denver, the Destination Amenity Fee will be a $15 amount charged daily, and the $10 food voucher will be suspended until restaurant operations resume. Thank you for understanding.

Is Hotel Teatro close to the Colorado Convention Center?
Hotel Teatro is conveniently located just two blocks from the Colorado Convention Center, a short walk through the Theater District downtown Denver.

Do you have transportation to and from the Denver International Airport?
We do not offer shuttle service to and from Denver International Airport, however our concierge is happy to help arrange private transportation with notice. Denver is a ride-share friendly city, with both Uber and Lyft readily available at DIA. We also recommend taking the new RTD A-line from DIA to Union Station! Be sure to call the hotel's bell & valet so we can pick you up from union station via our courtesy hotel car. For schedule information, visit the RTD website.

Can I get a late check out?
Hotel Teatro does offer late check out, which will be based on hotel availability. If late check out is available, there is a fee of $50.00 per hour after check out time of noon.

What is the weather going to be like?
Many visitors don’t know that Colorado sees on average 300 days of sunshine throughout the year, but the weather can vary significantly day to day. While summers are warm and full of sunshine, Fall, Winter and Spring all bring cooler evenings. Be sure to pack a variety of clothes when visiting Denver, including a jacket! You can also view the current weather by clicking here. Looking like rain? We have umbrellas one hand, with limited availability. Cold? Bundle up and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate fireside in The Study.

Do you have transportation to local Downtown Denver restaurants?
Hotel Teatro is proud to provide hotel guests with the bonus amenity of our complimentary luxury rides to and from any destination within 2.5 miles of the hotel’s address (1100 Fourteenth Street, Denver 80202) This service is a first-come-first-served basis, so guests may experience a wait period typically between 15-25 minutes, but oftentimes less. Should you require transportation to restaurants or sight-seeing, we recommend utilizing ride-shares or rental vehicles. If bringing a vehicle, be aware that parking is $44 per night – however our Downtown Denver Parking Package does provide a discounted rate for grouping valet parking along with standard room rates.

Do you have a laundry service?
Guests of Hotel Teatro can enjoy same day laundry services provided by a third party. Laundry must be given to the Front Desk by 8am to have it back the same day. Express services are available for an additional fee, however, they must also be received at the Front Desk by noon. Prices vary.

How can I provide feedback on my recent stay?
Our goal is to provide the best guest experience available in Denver, complete with boutique charm and excellent customer service. We love reviews, and welcome you to leave your feedback on TripAdvisorFacebook and Expedia. You can also email us directly!

Is there free coffee available for hotel guests?
Each room is equipped with a Keurig and an assortment of coffees and teas. Not familiar with this coffee maker? We’ve provided some tips and tricks alongside your coffee pods. You can also enjoy coffee from our very own barista stand in The Study, grab one to go or cozy up by the fire. We’re proud to support local businesses and serve Coda Coffee Company.

Is there a Spa onsite?
We do not have an onsite spa, however, we’re happy to arrange a variety of onsite or offsite services prior to your arrival. To arrange, please contact our concierge via email at concierge@hotelteatro.com or by calling (303) 228-1100.

How can I request a donation from Hotel Teatro?
Hotel Teatro is proud to support local fundraisers and silent auctions through donations. To be considered, please send an email to donations@hotelteatro.com.

Do you have a business center for printing?
Hotel Teatro does not have a formal business center, but guests can utilize our vintage phonebooth turned printing station on the Concourse Level of the hotel.

Does my hotel room have a mini fridge or can I request one?
Every guest room at Hotel Teatro does have it's very own mini-fridge. They are disguised by our wood cabinetry, oftentimes in the cabinets directly below your television!

Do you have a fitness center?
Enjoy a variety of gym necessities including treadmills, free weights, and more in our fitness center, located on the Concourse Level of the hotel. Looking for more extensive workout equipment? We're proudly partnered with the Colorado Athletic Club, one of the most exclusive athletic clubs in Denver. Enjoy access to their indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Day passes are available for $15 and can be purchased at the front desk.

Do you have a pool?
Hotel Teatro does not have any pool facilities. Our front desk staff can help arrange a day pass to a variety of pools in the city, and suggest the best options for your needs. We love referring guests to the state-of-the-art facilities at the Colorado Athletic Club, which includes a 25-yard indoor saline swimming pool - perfect for laps and cross-training. Click here for more information about their downtown Denver location's facilities and amenities.
